This November, CISD voters will consider a $567 million bond program. Mark Stahl, Chief Operations Officer, Comal ISD, will provide an inside look at the proposed bond, highlighting key projects and priorities. Mark Stahl, Chief Operations Officer | Comal ISD

Mark Stahl serves as Chief Operations Officer for Comal Independent School District, where he provides executive leadership for the district’s facilities and operational services, including bond construction, capital planning, land acquisition, maintenance, custodial services, grounds, and transportation. In this role, he is responsible for aligning the district’s physical infrastructure and operational resources with the needs of a rapidly growing school community. He brings more than 20 years of experience in K–12 facilities and operations leadership. Throughout his career, he has led complex capital improvement programs, long-range facility planning, construction and renovation projects, land acquisition, transportation operations, and districtwide facility services. His experience includes managing bond funded programs, developing operational strategies, overseeing large multidisciplinary teams, and working closely with school boards, municipalities, regulatory agencies, architects, engineers, contractors, and community stakeholders.

Prior to joining Comal ISD, Stahl served as Chief Operations Officer for Boerne Independent School District and previously held the position of Executive Director of Operations. His leadership approach emphasizes strategic planning, fiscal responsibility, accountability, and the development of facilities and operational systems that support student learning while preparing school districts for future growth. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from The University of Texas Permian Basin and a Master's degree in construction management from Texas State University. He also holds a graduate certificate in petroleum production and exploration. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, along with spending time with his wife Barbara, his three grown children, and four grandchildren.

    Parking: For your convenience, complimentary parking is available at the Brackenridge Park Parking Garage (3501 Avenue B, San Antonio, TX 78209), just south of the Witte Museum. A brief stroll from the parking garage will lead you to the all-new Dawson Hall Entrance, located on Tuleta Dr.
